A pen with an
already legendary history, with references to the iconic moments of the
tumultuous beginning of the twentieth century, more precisely of the
Great Economic Crisis of the 1930s, when, generously, the Conklin brand
understood the importance of a writing instrument afforded by as many
people as possible and has launched this collection dedicated to the
general public. Inspired by that period, Conklin revitalizes the
collection with an equally generous range in terms of design and nib
features.
The new Conklin All American range offers users of
writing instruments a series of fountain pens and ballpoint pens made of
high quality materials such as european resins, famous for the beauty
and variety of combinations. Specially designed to be visible and
impressive, the Conklin pens measure the user's courage in choosing a
writing instrument of generous dimensions, but well balanced and that
respects the traditional references to the vintage look.
Cigar-shaped
body, with screw-on cap, available in flamboyant color combinations,
either extremely bright and colorful mixtures for the daring, or more
muted combinations, for conservative choices, equipped with both nibs or
ballpoint refills. For fountain pens, Conklin brings two variants of
features, either the standard nibs in different thicknesses for varied
line dimensions (extra fine, fine, medium, wide or stub 1.1 mm), or the
Omniflex nibs for writing with line variation achieved with different
pressure applied on paper. These pens cover almost exhaustive user
writing options.
The Conklin nibs bear the distinctive sign of
the crescent moon and come in chrome or black variants, to match the
whole pen. The body of the pen is provided with accessories in assorted
colors (chrome, gold or black), with a small inscribed clip, well
integrated, which keeps the vintage look intact. Also in the same spirit
of remembering the times that inspired the new All American range, on
the body of the writing instrument, the brand and the identification
data of the manufacturer are printed by embossing. The fountain pens work with standard reffils or can be fitted with a converter. Ballpoint pens use standard Parker mines.
